First of all, Happy New Year everyone! Apple has yet again made their crippled device even worse by failing to correctly configure their Do Not Disturb feature for the new year. What a surprise… That’s why I have an Android phone!
Aside from my personal preference, Apple did mess up. Turns out that their Do Not Disturb feature, which blocks calls at set times like late at night, is not correctly complying with the new year. You would think that something so basic would not get messed up so easily.
What makes this even more funny is Apple recently just released an ad campaign advertising their Do Not Disturb feature this week. HA! Nothing like advertising broken software!
Apple recently said this about the issue:
Symptoms
After January 1st, 2013, Do Not Disturb mode stays on past its scheduled end time.
Resolution
Do Not Disturb scheduling feature will resume normal functionality after January 7, 2013. Before this date, you should manually turn the Do Not Disturb feature on or off.
To turn off the scheduling feature, tap Settings > Notifications > Do Not Disturb and switch Scheduled to Off.

Apple’s saying that they are aware of the issue and that it will fix itself on January 7th… … … Does this mean they knew about it ahead of time? Or does this just confirm that Apple is always communicating with your iPhone, monitoring your every move, watching you.
Ohh well, !Apple FTW!
