iPhone 4S Coming To Virgin Mobile – Reduced Montly Plan

On June 29, Virgin Mobile sent out a mass email to all of it’s customers regarding a new phone coming to their collection. The last few months Virgin Mobile has released two new phones and now they are adding a third to their line of pre-paid cell phones. The iPhone 4S.

Here is a copy of the email sent to Virgin Mobile subscribers:

Starting Friday, June 29, 2012, the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S will be available on Virgin Mobile Beyond Talk unlimited data and messaging plans. Plus, get an exclusive $5 per month plan discount when you register a credit card, debit card, or PayPal account for automatic monthly payments. That makes the iPhone plans available for as low as $30 per month*.

Visit www.virginmobileusa.com for additional information.

Thanks,
Virgin Mobile

This is exiting, for iPhone users. One key thing though is that users will have to pay full price for the iPhone. There won’t be any discounts like many contract cellular providers have. To get the iPhone on Virgin Mobile customers will have to spend $649 for a 16GB iPhone 4S.

To compensate for this large cost for the phone, Virgin is providing a discount on its monthly plan. When activating your iPhone if you set up an automatic monthly payment source they will take $5 off your monthly bill. That will bring the starting plan to $30 a month for unlimited data, text and 300 monthly minutes. This is nice for iPhone users, too bad they didn’t offer something like this when the HTC came to Virgin

Virgin Mobile is growing and providing competition to the market. Hopefully other contract carriers will see this and possibly reduce their own prices to compete with Virgin Mobile.
